Making your own beer is not as difficult as most people think, you just need the right beer brewing equipment a set of instructions and you are on your way. Beer brewing equipment can range from expensive multi thousand dollar pots and kettles that the professional big boys buy or you can buy a simple home brewing kit and get started right from home.

Below is a list of the beer brewing equipment needed to get your first batch of fresh ale or lager started.

Besides the equipment you need good ingredients to make a stealthy beer. Below is a list of the ingredients used in creating a great beer. There are many recipes but you will almost always find these ingredients in every great recipe.

Water: 90% of beer is composed of water, it is important to have good quality clean water when brewing beer.

Barley: is a cereal grain that is not very useful in making flower. However it is very good in making beer. There are 3 different kinds of barley that can fluctuate in quality based on where in the world it is harvested.

Hops: is the flower that gives beer its wonderful taste and smell.

Yeast: is a fungus used to ferment your beer by turning the sugars into alcohol.

Your beer brewing equipment needs to be sanitized so whenever you decide it is time to start a new batch of beer then you need to make sure that everything is clean and sanitized. The quickest way to ruining a beer is by not sanitizing your beer brewing equipment and letting bacteria destroy your batch. This can be frustrating and a huge waste of time.

Physical Sanitization: The process of sanitizing your beer using steam, hot water and not chemically based sanitization.

Alkaline-Based Sanitizers: Using bleaches, chlorine and other alkaline based sanitizers.
